Map of Solar Farms Around the World

It is pretty amazing to see the size and scale of Indian and China solar farms.  They are far bigger than the solar farms located in the United States.  India and China seem to do a very good job of identifying deserts and remote areas to do massive solar farms.  Do a search on the map for "solar farm" and see for yourself.  We have almost 4,000 solar farm locations listed in the database as of today.

Solar farms, also known as solar power plants or solar installations, are large-scale facilities that harness solar energy to generate electricity. These farms typically consist of a vast array of solar panels or solar thermal collectors, often covering several acres of land. While I don't have access to real-time data, I can provide you with information on some notable solar farms around the world based on their status as of my last knowledge update in September 2021:

Bhadla Solar Park, India: Located in Rajasthan, Bhadla Solar Park is one of the largest solar parks in the world. It has a total capacity of 2,245 MW and spans thousands of acres.

Tengger Desert Solar Park, China: Situated in the Tengger Desert in China's Qinghai province, this solar farm has a capacity of 1,547 MW. It features a vast expanse of solar panels, covering an area of over 1,200 square kilometers.

Pavagada Solar Park, India: Located in Karnataka, Pavagada Solar Park is one of the largest solar parks in the world. With a total capacity of 2,050 MW, it spans over 13,000 acres.

Kamuthi Solar Power Project, India: Situated in Tamil Nadu, this solar farm has a capacity of 648 MW and covers an area of approximately 2,500 acres. It was one of the largest single-location solar projects at the time of its completion.

Longyangxia Dam Solar Park, China: Located in the Qinghai province, this solar farm has a capacity of 850 MW. It is situated near the Longyangxia Dam, and its panels are arranged in a circular pattern around the dam's reservoir.

Noor Complex Solar Power Plant, Morocco: The Noor Complex is a series of solar power plants located in Ouarzazate, Morocco. The complex has a combined capacity of 580 MW and consists of several phases.

Topaz Solar Farm, United States: Situated in California, the Topaz Solar Farm is one of the largest solar farms in North America. It has a capacity of 550 MW and covers an area of around 9.5 square miles.
